Being the subject of artists' practice - in the nude, there of course arises specific rules which are fairly easy to follow to form a continuing and positive relationship between Artist and Model
Scheduling
- It is VERY important to make sure the scheduled dates and times are correct. This is a common issue between teacher/model coordinators and the model. If some dramatic circumstance happens, it may be wise to contact the teacher/model and possibly another model to arrange a substitution. The sooner, the better.
- Keeping in contact with the teacher or model and confirming times a week or even a day before the scheduled class can be helpful.
Hygiene
- I find teachers and students will appreciate a clean model. I bring my own drape clothe, with respect to the previous/next model.
- Please inform me if you require me to shave, remove jewelry or other physical alterations. I've come across situations, such as body-casting, which required a complete body hair removal; I've also arrived to head studies which required anatomical references including the chin and throat (I am bearded). It can be very helpful to resolve these issues before starting a session and creating an awkward situation.
My rates are very negotiable. Most schools, organizations and art groups already have a fixed pay-rate. However, when I work for an individual, and depending on any photography that may be involved, I have specific fees. For questions regarding my rates, please contact me directly.
